Wendy Heilbut is an attorney who advises her clients on how to protect what is most important. From intellectual property to corporate structure, she helps her clients identify their goals and execute them in the simplest way possible. She has an innate ability to understand and communicate with parties on all sides – this skill allows her to solve problems quickly and concisely.
Wendy is happy to charge forward into a contentious litigation when it’s the best course of action or, when more advantageous to her client’s goals, she guides them through settlement negotiations, concurrent use agreements, a buyout or other creative solutions to any myriad of unique problems.
Wendy’s experience and expertise include managing domestic and international trademark portfolios from inception to registration to protection. She’s worked with international corporations managing cross-border trademark strategies, as well as oversee the intellectual property portions of significant mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate deals. She’s worked with every type of client from billion-dollar pharmaceutical companies, multi-national banks, international alcohol companies and fashion houses to non-profits like a rock and roll camp for young girls.
Previously Wendy was an associate at Jones Day in New York. She took several years off to stay home with her children and fine tune the art of being there when someone else needs her. During this time, she ran several significant events for her children’s schools and oversaw large fund raising efforts.
When not practicing law, Wendy is gardening, cooking or getting outside. Usually with her family.
